    Print and test

    • For table tents and stickers read at 30–40 cm, print at least 3–4 cm wide.
    • For window or wall signs read from a few metres away, scale up: width ≈ distance ÷ 10.
    • Link to a menu address on your own domain. Then you can update prices and dishes by editing that page, without reprinting the code.
    • Make the menu page load fast on mobile data and readable on a small screen. A large PDF is slow; a simple web page is better.
    • Keep some printed menus available for guests who cannot or prefer not to use a phone.
    • Before printing for all tables, test the printed proof on an iPhone and an Android phone at table distance and in the restaurant's lighting.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I change my menu after printing the code?

Yes, if the code points to a page you control: edit the page and the same code shows the new menu. What you cannot change is the address inside the code itself.

Should the code point to a PDF or a web page?

Either works. A mobile-friendly web page is usually faster and easier to read than a large PDF. Whichever you choose, keep the address the same.

What should the campaign tags be?

Pre-filled: source = qr, medium = print. Add a campaign such as menu-tables or menu-window to compare placements. Leave the box unticked if you do not use analytics.

    What size should I print?

About 3–4 cm for tables, larger for signs further away. The scan check shows module size in millimetres for the print width you enter.
